Domain name Misconceptions.

i want us to look at some domains misconceptions, i don't want to call

them lies but rather misconceptions we've been told and have believed

all these years for sometimes now and time have come to reprogram our minds and forge ahead.
firstly, i want us to visit the site expireddomains.net and you'll find out something very interesting thereexpireddomains.net is a "Gold Mine" for checking expired and deleted domain names you can register, but i want us to consider somethings from the site.

- Not all the .com names sound great, some are even difficult to pronounce, so the fact that a domain name has a .com extension does not make it a good buy even if it is a 10 year old domain unless you want to tie down you hard earned money.Secondly,is the domain related to any niche(in case you want to build a website with the domain name) This is a point to consider.
- On the site (expireddomains.net) you see page rank(PR) page, index(PI) by Alexa,Dmoz etc and back links. I want to correct these misconceptions once and for all now and that's why this is coming up.
- Page rank(PR) as the name implies applies only to web pages because it is only a website that can be ranked on page ranking search engines like Google.com, yahoo.com and other search engines out there and not the domains themselves. So when you see page rank on expireddomains.net  note that it's for the website that was built around the domains before the domains expired. So domain names don't carry page ranks attached to them.
- Page index(PI) and back links are also not different from the page rank just discussed above, so domains don't get indexed by indexing sites and domains don't have back links on their own but websites do.
So while searching for domains or when buying domains bear in mind that domains don't have page ranks, back links or indices on their own.All these are due to the existing traffic for the websites that were built around those domain names.
So to succeed as a domineer you need to correct these misconceptions.
